The Lamen of Solomon, traditionally formed as a hexagonal figure, stands at the centre of the ritual vestments as a sign of alignment and authority. It is not decorative, but operative – a seal through which the relationship between the visible and invisible worlds is established.

This six-angled figure, often inscribed with sacred names such as the Tetragrammaton and AGLA, embodies the principle of correspondence: that which is above and that which is below held in deliberate relation. It serves as a point of command, through which order is maintained and forces are brought into harmony.

In the Solomonic tradition, the Lamen is the focal element of the vestment – the axis around which all other operations are oriented. It is both protective and directive, establishing a field within which action becomes effective. The Lamen itself represents the exorcist or the king of spirits, a title sometimes given to magicians.

Crafted from pure gold, obryzum, it expresses incorruptibility and unity. Gold, as the metal of the sun and of divine kingship, signifies perfection and indivisible presence. In this form, the hexagram becomes not only a symbol of balance, but an instrument of sovereignty and alignment. To wear or behold it is to invoke the same protective splendour that once guided the wise king himself.
